This piece is fascinating: the orange section has the power of its vivid coloration, while the white seems insubstantial. Yet the illusion of a heavy door with bars is just that because we see torn paper instead of real substance. Against the flat orange is the actual space of a construction site whose strong lights and shadows flattens into shapes. Real or illusion, it's all flat; a witty look at modernism.
